Are you too busy being busy?

I have been lately.

Craziness at its finest…

But it pains me to admit something.

The most therapeutic thing I have done over the past 5 months, I have been slacking on.

Writing.

Daily.

Nothing has proven itself to be more beneficial to my business, my client’s businesses, and my head-space.

VERY, very therapeutic.

Yet I let busy-ness get in the way.

Battling my way back now.

What about you?

When you find a ritual that brings you success, do you ever struggle keeping that ritual going?

Much like my writing, your ritual may be writing, or blogging, or videos, or phone calls.

Are you slacking on them?

Here is a quick and easy solution.

It works best if you use Gmail. But there are ways you can set it up in any of your mail systems. If you use Gmail – get this plugin http://www.boomeranggmail.com – (not an affiliate link) – it is pure brilliance! What it does is allows you to set reminder emails to yourself at whatever frequency you want. Or you can “Boomerang” an email that comes to you for a later date (not urgent today, but may be in a week – Boomerang it to email you again in a week). There are so many ways to use this wonderful little tool, I can’t even begin.

Once you have Boomerang setup – schedule an automated reminder to come to you every 14 days. In it describe whatever your goal is. Want to write daily? Set it up in Boomerang to remind you daily. Want to make more phone calls? Reminder yourself daily.

It actually helps you hold yourself accountable.

If you are constantly being reminded to do something, chances are you will.

It is a beautiful thing and I hope you give it a go.

I have and love it.

Have a great day.

Troy

Last night I was over at a friends place for a bit.

They were gearing up for a garage sale and were going through their stuff.

There was a box of small, thin boxes that I asked about.

My buddies girlfriend said it was some old plates she was going to try and “pawn off” at the garage sale.

..but something didn’t look right.

The smaller, thinner boxes looked kinda special.

So I opened one.

Lo-and-behold…

…here were 10 Bradford exchange plates with certificates.

Authentic porcelain plates, delicately packaged, with certificates of authenticity and #s associated to the plate.

To me, that isn’t a plate you sell at a garage sale for $0.25!

It sounds like it could be worth some damn money… TIMES 10 of them.

She agreed :O)

No more garage sale – now its off to ebay or a collectors site they go.

Then another box of “old puzzles” was discovered.

She also was tossing these to the garage sale pile.

But my buddy is a puzzle freak, and started looking at these things.

There were about 8 or 9 of them – from the mid-60s – UNOPENED.

Again – to her they were junk, but to a collector they could be gold.

My point?

Inside these seemingly junk boxes were some real treasures.

That could be worth some serious coin.

I bet you have them too.

Inside your customer data.

Golden pieces of information that could be worth a BUNDLE to you.

…if you know where to look and how to find them.

My Facebook Jumpstart course is almost full – and it shows you HOW to find the gold, and WHAT to do with it when you find it.
http://blog.smallbusinesscopywriter.com/facebook-ads-training/

Me thinks this is worth FAR more than the minuscule $39 I am asking.

ONE single golden find is worth 10… maybe 100 TIMES the investment.

When you find it – you will immediate see the niche marketing potential.

And when you see that… a whole new world opens up.

Sounds simple.

Here’s how you start…
http://blog.smallbusinesscopywriter.com/facebook-ads-training/

Have a great weekend.

Troy

Are you using Facebook Ads?

If not… WHY NOT?

They can be a very effective way to drive targeted traffic and find incredibly valuable demographics information on your ideal prospects and clients.

In a 2012 survey, 43% of B2B companies and 77% of B2C companies reported that they have acquired a customer through Facebook.

I am working on a project right now in a specific niche, and Facebook advertising is a part of the lead generation efforts. I targeted a specific geographic area, set my daily spend low to start, set my targeted likes and demographics… then let it loose.

And it bombed.

So I rewrote the ad, put a different picture in, refined the targeting.

Nailed it.

Got exactly what I wanted…

…good click through rates, good landing page results, and some VERY telling demographic information.

Facebook has some exceptional demographic reporting. I found out that a certain sex between 45-64, that live in 4 Canadian provinces are VERY good prospects for me. They clicked the highest and responded the highest.

Now I can refine my ads and target JUST THEM.

So I eliminate the money I was spending on the wrong age groups and wrong provinces… while narrowly targeting my most likely prospects.

The results are exceptional when you do measured and targeted marketing like this.

Are you?

You know you should… and NOW is the time to start!

Turning your words into wealth (sells for $49) – formulaic blueprints for writing ads that sell

Surprise recordings never before released (including an interview with the $7 billion dollar man on how to use stories in your sales for exceptional results – works AWESOME for Facebook marketing!)

…And you get a bankable blueprint for generating leads and sales when you need them

Lets get realistic though.

I like no BS… and here it is.

Do not expect to make a million dollars with your first Facebook campaign. Even your first ad or three may BOMB. That’s part of the process. I have been writing ad campaigns for a decade now and get very frustrated with people who believe in the fairy tale nonsense the BS slingers throw around. You probably won’t get it exactly right the first time – but it can and has happened. You need some extra money for testing ads on Facebook (you can set your daily ad caps as low as $1 – I recommend starting your campaign with a $5 a day budget and growing it from there, based on results).

I won’t feed you bull.

And I won’t put up with bull either.

I have invested many, many tens of thousands of dollars in my training over the past decade.

I have written hundreds of ads, sales letters, and lead generation campaigns.

And I have made my clients many, many millions of dollars (you can see testimonial at the link near the top of page).

Advertising and marketing is not about trying something once and giving up… complaining the entire time about how it “doesn’t work”.

IT DOES WORK. You need to figure out how to MAKE it work for you, your business, your product or service, and your offer.

That means investing some time and money. Not much money I am asking for a decade worth of experience in writing ads and campaigns that produce results.

A whopping $39.

Others are charging $799 for Facebook training.

But I have invested in them and feel they are far too deep and advanced for what most people want.

I specialize in the entrepreneurs out there.

Those with limited budgets and time.

People who just want to get it up and running quickly and easily without all the stuff they may nbever need.

EXACTLY what this is.

You will be up and running with one or more campaigns in this time.

You will have clicks to analyze.

You will have demographics research to fuel further marketing and refine your message.

You will have a system that you can run for years to come.

…feeding you leads when you need them.

Facebook DOES work… and I will show you how.

IT STARTS MAY 8th.

I am only accepting 30 people in the program… so capacity is limited as I want to be able to provide question and answer help to everyone in the program.

NOTE: If you know anyone that lives in or around Calgary, Alberta

This Friday we have a very special opportunity to learn from the 2 top sales people in Immunotec. You may have seen me mentioning some work I am doing in the dog market… this is where it all begins. The full story is after the event details (I tend to get excited and write a lot, so making sure you get the details first).

John Solleder, plus Sandi Walper will be in Calgary, Friday night 7pm – 9pm

If you like dogs...and money... you'll LOVE this!

at the Executive Royal Inn Hotel & Conference Centre, Calgary
2828 – 23 Street NE, Calgary, AB

Business Presentation & Training with Special Guest, Senior Platinum Consultant, John Solleder, Platinum Consultant, Sandi Walper, Regional Sales Director, Elisa Wickersham

Anyone you know that might be interested in improving their health, want to start a home business, or into the dogs, cats or horse markets… get them to come on out.

We get to listen in as the top income earners in the company talk about how you can model their systems, how you can make a part or full-time income in this business in a systematic way, plus how you can help people (and pets) improve their health.

This is a training and promotional event. You and your guests will learn proven techniques for building an Immunotec business, while discovering some of the fun things that this business can bring into your life.

As you may have seen by now, Immunotec is not a hype-driven company the way many in network marketing are. Which is one thing I really appreciate about this company. They are a product
and research driven company that succeeds based on proven facts, and measurable results from their clients…not by how much hype they can bring into the field.

Friday is a No BS evening and solid information will be shared.

Please tell those you know about this.

Make sure we meet up on Friday while you are there!

- – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – - - – -

…story continued…

A year ago I was told by a good friend and business associate about an immune system builder. I started taking it and loved it.

Not only did my energy go up in a big way, I also avoided all colds, sniffles, flus, etc in the past 13 m0nths. Considering my 11 year old twin daughters were always bringing home colds and coughs, I made out great.

March 2012, after taking this for a year I found out it works the same with dogs as well. Being a dog lover, and an avid marketer, I saw this as a great opportunity for me. Help dogs see the same benefit that I and thousands of others had! Simple enough. The company itself has researched the product and animals and humans for 34 years…and been selling Immunocal for 17 years. Not only did I have a great product with $100 million inn research behind it (!), I had a great home business other people and dog lovers could start.

Dog Park Dollars was born and some fantastic things have been happening since.

I was the #1 distributor in Canada in my first month of actually promoting the product for them. Now in my second month and am determined to hold the #1 spot!

Plus, I have already had GREAT testimonials from dog lovers. Duchess (aka Squeaky) was born a runt and barely alive. She has THRIVED in just a couple weeks on Immunocal – her full story here.

Duchess (Squeaky)… what a difference 18 days of solid nutrition can do!

If you want to help your own pets live longer, healthier, and happier… maybe you even want to build a home business while youre at it… this is a great way to do it.

Join me Friday night at this event and I would love to meet up after to answer any questions you have.

Thanks,

Troy

403.259.4566

PS: Special marketing GIFTS for anyone and everyone who joins us at the event. Just let me know you found me here, give me your email address or phone #, and I will send you some gifts to help you make more money this year.

You will receive: my Small Display Ads report (sells for $20), the 2007 and 2008 Wild West Wealth Summit mp3 recordings (recently sold on a one-time special for $29 – now back to regular price at $299), and my Turning Your Words Into Wealth ebook (sells for $49).

Would LOVE to see you there!

Friday the 13th…

…gotta love them!

My day is looking like a lucky day and I am pumped about whats
happening already.

Whoever said 13 was a bad # is completely whacked. My sister
was born on the 13th and she turned out pretty good :O)

Funny thing about Friday the 13th…

…According to folklorists, there is no written evidence for a
“Friday the 13th” superstition before the 19th century

We invented it.

Just like any good reason for a celebration… create one!

Some interesting things about today (things you can use on your
blog or newsletter today):

* In many cultures, 13 is generally considered a lucky number

* The Dutch Centre for Insurance Statistics (CVS) on June 12,
2008, stated that “fewer accidents and reports of fire and theft
occur when the 13th of the month falls on a Friday than on other
Fridays, because people are preventatively more careful or just
stay home

* Some events are intentionally scheduled for Fridays the 13th
for dramatic effect.

They include:

• Black Sabbath’s eponymous debut album was released in the UK
on Friday, February 13, 1970.

• The 13th book in A Series of Unfortunate Events was released
on Friday, October 13, 2006 by Lemony Snicket, also known as
novelist Daniel Handler.

• Five of the twelve films in the Friday the 13th series,
including the most recent (reboot of the series), were released
on a Friday the 13th.

• A long-running theatrical show, Supernatural Chicago,
premiered on Friday, February 13, 2004.[19]

• AdventureQuest Worlds MMORPG features special in-game events
featuring Voltaire (musician) and other guests for each Friday
the 13th.

Who’d a thunk it?

But it’s true…

…my Grandmother’s Welsh Corgies were stars in the movie 2012.

Kinda cool, hey?

My Grandmother, Jill, is one of the few Welsh Corgie breeders out on the West Coast of British Columbia.

So when the directors were trying to find some Corgies to play the part of the Queen’s dogs in the movie, they called my Grandmother.

Not only did they pay her very well for bringing the dogs to the set for a week or so, they put her and the dogs up in a nice place, fed them and pampered them.

Not a bad gig.

If you saw the movie 2012, you may recall when all the World Leaders and Billionaires were being loaded into the “Arks”, the Queen was there with her infamous Corgies.

Ya, those were my grand-dogs.

Stars!

Actually, their roles were about 2 seconds worth… but they were still stars in a $769 million dollar movie.

My loyal marketing assistant and furry pal, Casino, loves to eat raw meat.

Uncooked frozen raw meat.

His favorite.

Granted, he is part-Husky and his sharp teeth can gnaw through some pretty tough dinners without a problem.

Magpies are his enemy.

They like to steal his leftovers from the yard.

…and they like to pester him to the point of insanity.

Magpies are pretty damned smart, if you ask me. In the big old world of birds, these guys seem to have gotten some pretty good bird-brains.

They are good planners.

They are strategists.

They know that pure persistence is usually enough to win the war.

Last night there were 3 of them scoping a chunk of steak in the yard. Casino was guarding it… but as soon as he turned his back to chase one Magpie away, the other 2 would scoot in and start pecking at his steak.

The game would continue.

And the braver they would get.

Ultimately they wore him out and he sat off to the side watching them peck at the remains.

Isn’t this what marketing is all about?

…not about pestering people till they wear out and buy.

Rather, it’s all about trying new angles.
Testing new strategies.
Seeing what gets people to stand up and take note.

If the Magpies were like your typical entrepreneur, they would try one marketing idea like postcards or direct… try it once only… and declare “direct mail doesn’t work!”. Or they would run some Google ads to a campaign that never had proper keyword strategy or landing page design done. They whine and moan about how “Google Ads are a rip off”.

If you ever want to succeed in business and marketing, you need to drill in the Magpie mentality.

Persistence, combined with multi-point strategies, and you will ultimately find a winning way to get to the gold.

Giving up gets you no where.

Keep on keeping on!

“Anyone can give up, it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that’s true strength.” — Unknown

Have a great day.

Troy

PS: If you are a dog lover too… you TRULY need to get in on this. Something massive is a brewing in my world with an idea and strategy that happened about a month ago now. Response has been exceptional… and I will be doing a free webinar this week to discuss what it is and how you can take part.

This video was mind-blowing to me and I hope to you too.

It also holds something each and every one of use should be striving for in our marketing

…shock value.

When you first see this duo walk out, you think one thing.

When they start singing… WOW.

Shock value in marketing can be done in a few different ways.

One of those is just for the shock (nudity, profanity, blatant disregard for decency).

The way we should strive for is to come out unassuming and shock them with the delivery.

Like this…

Strive for it.

I know I will be doing more and pushing harder to get this built more into my business.

Have a great day.

Here is a guest article from a fellow copywriter and mastermind partner… Ms Julie Guest take it away!

Earlier this week I was on a coaching call with one of my Platinum members, and she was having a vent session.

You know, one of those horrible “this is all just too hard I think I should just give up, I’m not really cut out to do this”..kind of vent session.

I’ve certainly had them and I bet you have too.

When I was a kid, my Mom used to call these outbursts “haircuts”. All we’d have to say to her is “Mom – I need to have a haircut – can you listen for a sec?”. And we’d let it all hang out, moan, whine and complain…and within 5 minutes, usually felt a lot better.

Vent sessions are important. No – they’re critical for your success.

Being a solopreneur can be lonely and terribly isolating…there you are banging away at your key board, with just your dog at your feet…and an empty
coffee mug on your desk. Its essential you have an outlet – someone you can trust your innermost fears to, who’s not going to freak out (like your
husband who just saw the credit card bill and is wondering if this “marketing stuff really works!”)

That’s the power of having a good coach.

Someone who can help you walk through your fears, realign your path, and keep you moving exactly where you need to go.

I heard someone once say that you can never put a price on having someone in your life who believes in you more than you believe in yourself…

I saw the power of this when I was 15 years old in high school. My Mom’s best friend also happened to be the vice principal of my high school and the
head of the math department…

Now math has NEVER been my strong suit. But when I was 15, the vice principal took my Mom aside one day and told her that I didn’t have a hope
of passing my math exam that year. And of course, my now very worried Mom, told me…

Thing is…she was probably right.

Except that that wasn’t what I wanted to hear..and I’m a Capricorn (goat) …so, if you want me to do something…just tell me it can’t be done and I’ll
find a path to get there!

That year I got a math coach and met with her religiously twice a week. For me that was akin to having to get a root canal on a regular basis

…algebra, statistics, fractions YECH!!!

There were times I’d show up to those coaching sessions in floods of tears because I just didn’t “get” it. My coach would quietly listen, and when I’d
finished throwing my pity party and having a vent session, she’d say to me quietly “alright…now where were we..”

That year I passed my math exam with 76% – a personal triumph of epidemic proportions! But if my coach hadn’t believed in me…or had told me that it
was unlikely I’d pass and I should just “stick to art”…I would never, ever had known what I was capable of.

What about you?

What problem are you grappling with at the moment that makes you just want to scream? Is it bad enough to make you question whether you should throw in
the towel and just go get a desk job working for someone else?

Never, NEVER, Never Give Up!!!

You were given your dreams for a purpose. The fact that your goal is to make $100K, $200K, $500K, or to work less without sacrificing income so you can
spend more time with your family…I believe these are your God given desires.

You’ve got them for a reason. Its your job to grace the world with your own form of beauty – no one else offers what you do, in the way that you do.

This week’s ezine is all about the power of perseverance.

I want to give you a giant helping of inspiration to help you push through whatever you might be struggling with right now. (Keep this ezine in a safe
place so you can reread it when you need to!)

Winston Churchill famously once said “never, never, never give up.”

There’s another saying I love – an old Japanese proverb that says “fall done 7 times get up 8.”

But by far, one of my favorite quotes of all time is the one Erin Brokovich carried around in her pocket in a letter her Dad wrote.

“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the
human race.”

To your massive abundance and success!

Spring is here and opportunities abound..

Gotta love this time of year.

Everyone is happier… it starts getting beautiful outside (somewhere… I am sure, just not here today : ) … and the holiday seasons are starting to show themselves.

Spring holidays.

Summer holidays.

…All the perfect opportunity for you to be in touch with your prospects and clients.

Right now is when you need to be out there in front of your clients noses – showing them exactly why they should trust you and shop with you again (especially when their minds are on everything else BUT buying from you).

This is on top of your efforts to attract new clients.

How to Maximize Your Marketing Results with 2 Easy Steps

1) First thing you need to do is make them an offer they can’t refuse. And the easiest way to do that is to bundle your products and services in new “packages” that are not available at any other time of the year. Why?

Because they are looking for a deal. A deal they can’t find anywhere else – and it doesn’t mean the cheapest price either… it means the most attractive offer.

Do you have multiple products and services? Have you created an inventory of your products and services?

Do it – right now… the results will amaze you.

List off every product, service, report, package, or incentive you have for your clients.

Then fit like-minded products together in a few different ways – have a Silver, Gold, and Platinum package arrangement ranging from inexpensive to medium ticket price to high end price tag.

For example, maybe you run a massage business.

You could offer a 60 minute massage, a book on at-home- stress-relief, an audio complete with soothing music, massage oil for at home use, and a couple nice candles to top it off.

Let’s say you price this at $75 – which is the perfect price point for many lower end gifts – package it up nicely with gift certificates on nice paper, a basket, wrapped up professionally.

Your gold offer – monthly massages for 6 months, free spa products, the book as above – plus one more on creating your own spa at home, the candles and oil also included, plus a nice pair of slippers for lounging. Price tag – $500

Your platinum – 12 months worth of massages, all of the above, plus a facial and pedicure every other month (done by someone you subcontract with). This for $750. This gives you 3 very nice packages that you can offer your clients… packages that are not available at any other time of the year.

Bundle them up real nice and have them wrapped up like a pro – and you will make a very attractive offer for your clients that are looking for simple gifts they can buy – right up to the husbands who will pay the big ticket price tag knowing that the gift they are giving their wife will be very much appreciated for the next 12 months.

2) After you have your bundle created – then you need to get the message out.

First – tell your existing clients – they are much more likely to buy than someone who has never bought from you before.

Then, your past clients who haven’t bought from you in a while. Chances are good; they haven’t bought from you because they haven’t heard from you. So remind them you are around and you want their business. Last, spread the word to potential customers.

How do you get the word out?

Postcards – simple – easy – great way to drive traffic to your holiday bundle sales page.

Direct mail – send them a simple letter to tell them what kind of special deals you have put together for them this year.

Phone calls – call all the customers and prospects that you have their numbers.

Personalized faxes to people who have bought from you before.

Facebook Fan Pages and profile updates.

Facebook ads.

Google ads.

Email marketing campaigns.

Joint ventures.

Paid print advertising (yes, they do still work and they can bring you more quality leads per dollar than online. It is YOUR job to find every avenue that works to bring you leads. Ignoring print media is a big mistake… but is your choice to make).

Web pages announcing your holiday offers – the graphics on your main page lead them to your sales page for the bundles.

A Warning Though… if you are going through all this effort and work to improve your holiday sales – you had better make sure your message is done right.

- The web page sales pitch you use must convince them to buy.
- The sales copy you use must compel them to take action.
- The image you are portraying to your clients and prospects
must show them you know what you are doing – and will treat
them with the utmost of respect.

Now is the time to get busy!

Your clients and prospects are just as excited about spring and summer as you and I. So you need to get out there and pump up the fun you can offer them.

Make it fun.

Make it memorable.

…and last, make your message one they are glad to share with others!

Troy

PS: LAST CHANCE – this is the last week of the special bundle I am offering.

My entire Wild West Wealth 2-year long campaign was based on
the Wild West and the Gold Rush. It was fun and easy to find
material to use in my articles, and resulted in a couple hundred
people getting to the event. It also helped make Chris V a
multi-millionaire before he was 30 years old. Now you can get
all of those audios for a whopping $29!

PS: SPEAKING OF FUN… are you a DOG LOVER?

This is a $56 BILLION dollar market in Canada and the US… and
no one is doing sub-niche marketing like what we are talking
about here.

I am woofing PUMPED about this!

I have something BIG stewing for dog lovers like you and I.

This Thursday, I am hosting a webinar that will show you a
extra cash in your pocket.
