Shock them

Nothing trumps a good smack down.

This video was mind-blowing to me and I hope to you too.

It also holds something each and every one of use should be striving for in our marketing

…shock value.

When you first see this duo walk out, you think one thing.

When they start singing… WOW.

Shock value in marketing can be done in a few different ways.

One of those is just for the shock (nudity, profanity, blatant disregard for decency).

The way we should strive for is to come out unassuming and shock them with the delivery.

Like this…

Strive for it.

I know I will be doing more and pushing harder to get this built more into my business.

Have a great day.

Press on…

Here is a guest article from a fellow copywriter and mastermind partner… Ms Julie Guest take it away!

Earlier this week I was on a coaching call with one of my Platinum members, and she was having a vent session.

You know, one of those horrible “this is all just too hard I think I should just give up, I’m not really cut out to do this”..kind of vent session.

I’ve certainly had them and I bet you have too.

When I was a kid, my Mom used to call these outbursts “haircuts”. All we’d have to say to her is “Mom – I need to have a haircut – can you listen for a sec?”. And we’d let it all hang out, moan, whine and complain…and within 5 minutes, usually felt a lot better.

Vent sessions are important. No – they’re critical for your success.

Being a solopreneur can be lonely and terribly isolating…there you are banging away at your key board, with just your dog at your feet…and an empty
coffee mug on your desk. Its essential you have an outlet – someone you can trust your innermost fears to, who’s not going to freak out (like your
husband who just saw the credit card bill and is wondering if this “marketing stuff really works!”)

That’s the power of having a good coach.

Someone who can help you walk through your fears, realign your path, and keep you moving exactly where you need to go.

I heard someone once say that you can never put a price on having someone in your life who believes in you more than you believe in yourself…

I saw the power of this when I was 15 years old in high school. My Mom’s best friend also happened to be the vice principal of my high school and the
head of the math department…

Now math has NEVER been my strong suit. But when I was 15, the vice principal took my Mom aside one day and told her that I didn’t have a hope
of passing my math exam that year. And of course, my now very worried Mom, told me…

Thing is…she was probably right.

Except that that wasn’t what I wanted to hear..and I’m a Capricorn (goat) …so, if you want me to do something…just tell me it can’t be done and I’ll
find a path to get there!

That year I got a math coach and met with her religiously twice a week. For me that was akin to having to get a root canal on a regular basis

…algebra, statistics, fractions YECH!!!

There were times I’d show up to those coaching sessions in floods of tears because I just didn’t “get” it. My coach would quietly listen, and when I’d
finished throwing my pity party and having a vent session, she’d say to me quietly “alright…now where were we..”

That year I passed my math exam with 76% – a personal triumph of epidemic proportions! But if my coach hadn’t believed in me…or had told me that it
was unlikely I’d pass and I should just “stick to art”…I would never, ever had known what I was capable of.

What about you?

What problem are you grappling with at the moment that makes you just want to scream? Is it bad enough to make you question whether you should throw in
the towel and just go get a desk job working for someone else?

Never, NEVER, Never Give Up!!!

You were given your dreams for a purpose. The fact that your goal is to make $100K, $200K, $500K, or to work less without sacrificing income so you can
spend more time with your family…I believe these are your God given desires.

You’ve got them for a reason. Its your job to grace the world with your own form of beauty – no one else offers what you do, in the way that you do.

This week’s ezine is all about the power of perseverance.

I want to give you a giant helping of inspiration to help you push through whatever you might be struggling with right now. (Keep this ezine in a safe
place so you can reread it when you need to!)

Winston Churchill famously once said “never, never, never give up.”

There’s another saying I love – an old Japanese proverb that says “fall done 7 times get up 8.”

But by far, one of my favorite quotes of all time is the one Erin Brokovich carried around in her pocket in a letter her Dad wrote.

“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the
human race.”

To your massive abundance and success!

Spring is here and marketing opportunities abound

Spring is here and opportunities abound..

Gotta love this time of year.

Everyone is happier… it starts getting beautiful outside (somewhere… I am sure, just not here today : ) … and the holiday seasons are starting to show themselves.

Spring holidays.

Summer holidays.

…All the perfect opportunity for you to be in touch with your prospects and clients.

Right now is when you need to be out there in front of your clients noses – showing them exactly why they should trust you and shop with you again (especially when their minds are on everything else BUT buying from you).

This is on top of your efforts to attract new clients.

How to Maximize Your Marketing Results with 2 Easy Steps

1) First thing you need to do is make them an offer they can’t refuse. And the easiest way to do that is to bundle your products and services in new “packages” that are not available at any other time of the year. Why?

Because they are looking for a deal. A deal they can’t find anywhere else – and it doesn’t mean the cheapest price either… it means the most attractive offer.

Do you have multiple products and services? Have you created an inventory of your products and services?

Do it – right now… the results will amaze you.

List off every product, service, report, package, or incentive you have for your clients.

Then fit like-minded products together in a few different ways – have a Silver, Gold, and Platinum package arrangement ranging from inexpensive to medium ticket price to high end price tag.

For example, maybe you run a massage business.

You could offer a 60 minute massage, a book on at-home- stress-relief, an audio complete with soothing music, massage oil for at home use, and a couple nice candles to top it off.

Let’s say you price this at $75 – which is the perfect price point for many lower end gifts – package it up nicely with gift certificates on nice paper, a basket, wrapped up professionally.

Your gold offer – monthly massages for 6 months, free spa products, the book as above – plus one more on creating your own spa at home, the candles and oil also included, plus a nice pair of slippers for lounging. Price tag – $500

Your platinum – 12 months worth of massages, all of the above, plus a facial and pedicure every other month (done by someone you subcontract with). This for $750. This gives you 3 very nice packages that you can offer your clients… packages that are not available at any other time of the year.

Bundle them up real nice and have them wrapped up like a pro – and you will make a very attractive offer for your clients that are looking for simple gifts they can buy – right up to the husbands who will pay the big ticket price tag knowing that the gift they are giving their wife will be very much appreciated for the next 12 months.

2) After you have your bundle created – then you need to get the message out.

First – tell your existing clients – they are much more likely to buy than someone who has never bought from you before.

Then, your past clients who haven’t bought from you in a while. Chances are good; they haven’t bought from you because they haven’t heard from you. So remind them you are around and you want their business. Last, spread the word to potential customers.

How do you get the word out?

Postcards – simple – easy – great way to drive traffic to your holiday bundle sales page.

Direct mail – send them a simple letter to tell them what kind of special deals you have put together for them this year.

Phone calls – call all the customers and prospects that you have their numbers.

Personalized faxes to people who have bought from you before.

Facebook Fan Pages and profile updates.

Facebook ads.

Google ads.

Email marketing campaigns.

Joint ventures.

Paid print advertising (yes, they do still work and they can bring you more quality leads per dollar than online. It is YOUR job to find every avenue that works to bring you leads. Ignoring print media is a big mistake… but is your choice to make).

Web pages announcing your holiday offers – the graphics on your main page lead them to your sales page for the bundles.

A Warning Though… if you are going through all this effort and work to improve your holiday sales – you had better make sure your message is done right.

– The web page sales pitch you use must convince them to buy.
- The sales copy you use must compel them to take action.
- The image you are portraying to your clients and prospects
must show them you know what you are doing – and will treat
them with the utmost of respect.

Now is the time to get busy!

Your clients and prospects are just as excited about spring and summer as you and I. So you need to get out there and pump up the fun you can offer them.

Make it fun.

Make it memorable.

…and last, make your message one they are glad to share with others!

PS: LAST CHANCE – this is the last week of the special bundle I am offering.

My entire Wild West Wealth 2-year long campaign was based on
the Wild West and the Gold Rush. It was fun and easy to find
material to use in my articles, and resulted in a couple hundred
people getting to the event. It also helped make Chris V a
multi-millionaire before he was 30 years old. Now you can get
all of those audios for a whopping $29!

PS: SPEAKING OF FUN… are you a DOG LOVER?

This is a $56 BILLION dollar market in Canada and the US… and
no one is doing sub-niche marketing like what we are talking
about here.

I am woofing PUMPED about this!

I have something BIG stewing for dog lovers like you and I.

This Thursday, I am hosting a webinar that will show you a
proven way to improve the health of your dog, while putting some

Free lead generation at its finest

I love free leads.

…don’t you?

One of the best ways to generate free leads and new customers
is through referral or word of mouth marketing.

Why? Because when a prospect is referred to you by someone
they already trust… they are much more likely to hire you
without questioning price.

And eliminating price shopping is very important… and price
competition is a battle you will never win. Someone is always
hungrier than you and more willing to give it away for next to nothing.

Go for the trusted approach instead.

Referrals and word of mouth marketing is the best way to do it quickly.

I had the privilege yesterday of having marketing expert Tom
Poland present a wonderful webinar for many for my clients and
subscribers.

Tom showed us his wicked-smart strategies on… ‘How to get ten
successful referrals every month – even when you are on holiday
or asleep.’

Please note that I have organized a replay but it is only
available for a short period of time… here’s the link:
http://www.8020center.com/krmreplay/

Tom has agreed to leave this replay online until at least the
end of the weekend so you have a couple of days to watch it.

Tom also made a super generous offer to everyone on the live
webinar and he has allowed me to pass this same offer on to all
my clients and subscribers as well. However this offer is only
available until the end of the weekend as well. (You can see the
offer at the end of the webinar or access it directly from the
replay page.)

So if you would some delightfully simple, easy to use proven
systems to get great referrals in your business I recommend you
watch Tom’s presentation.

Here’s what others have said about the event…

“The multiple referrals system idea revolutionized my way of
thinking about referral marketing. Thank you.”
Bozena Chorazewicz

“I’m very impressed with the information presented at this
webinar. I will certainly attend any others in the future. What a
delight to just not be ‘sold’ to!”
Sue Meyer

“This was a greatly refreshing seminar – Tom is a great,
engaging speaker, love the voice! And of course, a great
marketing leader.”
Trina Lo

“Thank you for respecting my time by presenting an excellent
systematic approach to referrals! I like that you gave practical
examples of HOW to implement them instead of only providing the
WHAT.”
Paul Guyon

“Many ideas and the time just flew by. A wealth of knowledge and
great ideas around referral marketing. Concrete, easy to
understandable tips around referral marketing. Thanks so much!”
Francie Kane

“Thank you for making referrals interesting and motivating me to
get started. Looking forward to learning more from you.”
Ak Err

“Great job Tom – Loved the Godfather idea – Will certainly look
to implement ASAP. Love seeing an Aussie teaching the world.”
Scott Osboldstone

“Many intriguing approaches to generating referrals. Great
webinar!”
Sam McNamee

“I really appreciate all these valuable ideas, methods, tried
and true marketing ideas. Your God Father strategy gave me a big
ah ha moment!”
Marilyn Schauber

“That was most excellent, Tom, thanks! I took copious notes and
have since written them up properly. I look forward to making a
plan based on them and then it’s all action! Many
thanks.”?Christine Fromont

“Thank you and Tom for the webinar yesterday – it was very
informative and worthwhile for follow up action – the Godfather
action approach is excellent – Have a great day.”?Coral
Smith

“Hi there, I wish to thank you for your Seminar yesterday. The
advice makes so much sense. The “Godfather” offer is so powerful.
Thank you again. Best wishes.”?Lee Hanna

“Thank you very much Tom for clarifying how easy referrals can
be. Awesome! Thank you again – you are wonderful! Regards to you
both.”?Charlotte Campbell Lamerton

The strategy that everyone loved was Tom’s “Godfather” strategy
to get large numbers of referrals in a short period of time.

Tom also shared a wonderful referral strategy for people with
staff. He explained how simple it is to motivate each team member
to get new clients in the door AND empower them to do just that.

He also explained costly but common mistakes to avoid and how to
implement a number of referral strategies for little or no cost.

The most common question from people who attended the webinar
was ‘Is there a replay of this webinar so I can watch it again
and show it other people?’

Well like I mentioned above, the good news is that the webinar
has been recorded and so if you go to this link you will be able
to watch a video replay of the entire presentation.

Have a good day.

Troy

PS: I listen to a lot of marketing people each year and this
presentation is one of the most useful I have seen for quite some
time. So do take some time to check it before Tom takes it down.

Are you part of the Flinch Club?

Are you flinching enough?

I have alluded to some of the massive change I am going through this year.

In my personal life.

In my health.

In my business focus.

…and does it EVER feel good.

Change is good.

At least positive change.

But there is much to be said for that highly uncomfortable change too.

The kind that makes you wince because you just know it’s going to hurt… but you know it must be done.

Ya, that kind.

The kind that makes you flinch.

There is a FANTASTIC free book you can grab called “The Flinch”

Grab it here…

http://www.amazon.com/The-Flinch-ebook/dp/B0062Q7S3S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332427738&sr=8-1 Are you part of the flinch club

The author, Julien Smith,  shares numerous examples of how to flinch more than ever, why you MUST start flinching more, and what to do when those around you try and hold you down while prying your eyeballs open so you CAN’T flinch anymore.

They do.

And you must fight them with all your might.

This has been a flinch-filled 3 months for me.

…I feel like I have a medical condition with all the flinching I have been doing!

But it was my motto for the year for massive change… and I am flinching more than enough to make it all happen quickly.

Get the book.

Just do it – read it – and make it your motto for the year.

You have 9 months left this year to make it your best ever…

…and if you aren’t flinching at LEAST 2 or 3 times a day… you will be highly disappointed at what changes you made this year.

Join me in the Flinch club.

Ok?

Troy

PS: One of the major flinches I am experiencing daily is with the business I am rolling out in the dog market.

It is something new to me.

It is exciting…

…and uncomfortable.

And I am loving it.

If you love animals and want to see what I am doing, and how you can work with me on this massive project ($56 BILLION DOLLAR market in Canada and the US alone)…

Then join me on the webinar tonight!

Fill out this form and I will let you know the details for the webinar at 7:30 MST tonight.
